about the designer
Anita Arze drew upon her cultural heritage and the craftsmanship of Bolivian knitting to build and inspire the socially and environmentally conscious ARZÉ luxury clothing line. Anita marries the traditions of South American techniques with modern fit and silhouettes. The ARZÉ collections are made with materials such as alpaca and pima cotton for her hand knits and hand woven pieces, and organic cotton and hemp for her fashion essentials. Anita creates sustainable fashion with a mission to drive employment in the developing world.
Previously, Arze worked for Oscar De La Renta for a stint while in New York City. When she returned to Los Angeles, she started a sportswear brand called “Talking to Angels” that was distributed in the US, Canada, the UK and Japan. She has worked on private label design and manufacturing for Urban Outfitters and smaller green brands. ARZÉ is a result of her diverse background and experience in all things creative and design, with a focus on sustainable and conscious clothing and practices.
